چکیده

The epidermal barrier function is very important to maintain proper moisture in the human skin and protect inner body homeostasis. stratum corneum (SC) major player function. Interleukin (IL)-33 a tissue-derived cytokine, mainly expressed epithelial endothelial cells, activates Th2 lymphocytes, mast ILC2, eosinophils. We aimed study role of IL-33 steady state. Wild-type (WT), knockout (IL-33KO) mice were tape stripped, trans-epidermal water loss (TEWL) was monitored. Skin samples collected, hematoxylin eosin staining, immunohistochemical (IHC) analyses, western blotting performed. Total RNA extracted from real-time (RT) PCR Tape stripping increased TEWL both IL-33KO WT (p<0.0001) similar levels, there no statistical difference between (n.s.). thickness with an increase granular layer compared mice. observed filaggrin (FLG) staining IHC analyses on days 1, 2, 3 after tape-stripping Tape-stripping induced expression acid ceramidase (ASAH1 ASAH1.2) analysis mice, but not Filaggrin has been implicated function, recently postulated decrease ceramide levels cornified layers atopic dermatitis patients. showed higher protein lower than comparable These results suggest that would be other molecules involved controlling ceramidase.

Interpretation of the human skin biotribological behaviour after tape stripping.

The present study deals with the modification of the human skin biotribological behaviour after tape stripping. The tape-stripping procedure consists in the sequential application and removal of adhesive tapes on the skin surface in order to remove stratum corneum (SC) layers, which electrically charges the skin surface. The skin electric charges generated by tape stripping highly change the sk...

Tape Stripping Technique for Stratum Corneum Protein Analysis

The aim of this study was to investigate the amount of protein in stratum corneum in atopic dermatitis (AD) patients and healthy controls, using tape stripping technique. Furthermore, to compare two different methods for protein assessment. Tape stripping was performed in AD patients and healthy controls to collect stratum corneum samples and subsequently analysed with two different methods: Sq...

Hip Osteonecrosis Is Associated with Increased Plasma IL-33 Level

The recently discovered IL-33 as an IL-1 cytokine family member has been proved to be specifically released from osteonecrotic bones. We aimed to investigate the potential role of IL-33 in the development of osteonecrosis of femoral head (ONFH). Forty patients diagnosed with ONFH and forty age-, sex-, and body mass index- (BMI-) matched healthy subjects were included in this prospective study b...

Impact of IL -9 and IL-33 in mast cells.

Cytokines serve as chemical communicators from one cell to another and most of them have pro-inflammatory activity. Mast cells have been recognised as important mediators of the pathogenesis of allergy and inflammation, suggesting a role for IL-33-mediated mast cell activation. IL-33 was recently identified as a ligand for the orphan IL-1 family receptor T1/ST2 and is mainly expressed by mast c...

Impact of adult atopic dermatitis on topical drug penetration: assessment by cutaneous microdialysis and tape stripping.

Appropriate methodologies for the determination of drug penetration in diseased skin have not yet been established. The aim of this study was to determine the cutaneous penetration of a metronidazole cream formulation in atopic dermatitis, employing dermal microdialysis and tape strip sampling techniques. Non-invasive measuring methods were used for the quantification of the severity of the der...
